McCubbin Construction owns a Vermeer TG9000 tub grinder for site clearing and tub grinding. Since purchase of the tub grinder in 2005, McCubbin Construction has ground more than 800,000 cubic yards of trees, brush, and vegetation. McCubbin used the tub grinder in Florida to assist with clean up efforts after hurricanes Wilma and Katrina.
The tub grinder is capable of accepting material up to 10 feet in diameter and will process around 1,000 cubic yards of wood material in an hour. With a 1,000 HP engine, our grinder provides heavy-duty grinding and high production, while our experienced crew out-produces grinders of the same model. McCubbin also owns a Vermeer BC2000 Brush Chipper for smaller-scale jobs.

We are currently in the process of establishing a wood waste recycling site in the Quad City Area - The Wood Grinders, LLC. If you have wood waste (tree limbs, branches, stumps, brush, pallets, clean construction lumber, etc. - large or small) you wish to dispose of, please contact us. Unlike many local dumpsites and landfills, we do not charge high roll-off fees! We also do not have size limits on material we accept. We gladly accept wood waste from:
